DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Use of Plants in Urban Environments \n\n\n\nHenrik Sjöman is a Swedish architect\, researcher\, and leading expert in urban vegetation whose research focuses precisely on plant adaptation to urban stress. Throughout the masterclass\, Henrik Sjöman will share his knowledge and practical experience\, teaching you: \n\n\n\n\nHow to consciously and creatively select woody plants for various types of landscape spaces;\n\n\n\nHow to evaluate specific site conditions when choosing plants;\n\n\n\nHow to create greenery that is not only beautiful\, but also resilient and viable.\n\n\n\n\nThe masterclass will combine a theoretical section\, real-world case studies\, group work\, and discussion. \n\n\n\nParticipants will work on specific scenarios typical of urban environments (for instance\, street greening and rooftop gardens). Groups will analyze existing challenges and desired outcomes\, developing their own ideas and plant-based solutions. Following the group work\, participants will present their visions\, followed by an open discussion.
